Talita do Nascimento Cabral is a Brazilian interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Her work explores the intersections of nature, memory, womanhood, and materiality, reflecting on cycles of growth, decay, and renewal. Drawing from her family's working-class resilience, she repurposes materials and employs natural pigments, plant-based dyes, and textiles to create layered, tactile compositions and paintings. A former fashion industry professional, Talita critically examines consumerism and environmental degradation while honoring ancestral knowledge. She founded the Upcycle Coalition, promoting environmental awareness through workshops on circularity and creative reuse. Her work has been exhibited at Deep Space Gallery and Smush Gallery in Jersey City, NJ. She is currently a recipient of the 2025 NYFA Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program in New York.
