Talita do Nascimento Cabral is a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Her work is grounded in a profound reverence for the delicate threads that connect nature, spirituality, memory, womanhood, and material transformation. She collects materials that carry stories, including time-worn textiles, earth-derived pigments, bioplastics, and repurposed fragments, giving them new life through paintings, garments, and sculptural forms. Cabral is the founder of the Upcycle Coalition, fostering communal spaces for dyeing, mending, and reuse. She was an artist-in-residence at Guttenberg Arts and is an alumna of the NYFA Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program (2025). Her work has been exhibited at New York Live Arts, the Ford Foundation Gallery, and BronxArtSpace in New York, as well as Deep Space Gallery and SMUSH Gallery in New Jersey.
